Wessel Marais - Large Still Life with fruits, 75x50cm

Popular painter of landscapes, still life and childhood and harbour scenes, Wessel Marais studied under famous wildlife artist Zakkie Eloff. He also found inspiration from landscape artist Erich Mayer, along with the French Impressionists. He would go on to have a successful career with numerous group and solo exhibitions throughout South Africa. 

Oil on board, 75x50cm, lovely colourful piece. PLEASE NOTE: There are some light scratches to the paint in a few spots. Not hugely detracting, but just need to be transparent about them being there.
